Introduction to Free Screen Readers

If you can’t afford to purchase a screen reader but do not want to lose your skills while you are waiting for a computer system with assistive technology, one of these FREE screen reader solutions may be for you. In this seminar we will explore the merits and limitations of: “Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA)” with Mozilla Firefox and “System Access to Go” with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Prerequisites: Be an intermediate to advanced level user. For the DL session, be Skype-ready and have Version 3 of Firefox. For JAWS users, access to Skype version 3.8 or version 4. DL indicates distance learning for two sessions.
